Partially wanted 3rd party apps from Google.Unwanted 3rd party apps from Microsoft or Flipboard.Samsung’s integration of their own cloud services is everywhere and very pushy.Generally you’d find that there are much better alternatives from Google or 3rd parties out there. Samsung’s versions of “standard” apps for Mail, Contacts, Photo Gallery etc.Even worse - Samsung’s irregular supply of Android security patches.
For example, my tablet got Android 8 about one year after the official Android 8 release. A serious lack of timely Android updates and security patches.It’s less of a disgrace from what it used to be four or five years ago, but their flavour of Android is bogged with: Lovely hardware for the most part, but their software makes you very much want to vomit.Īdmittedly it’s gotten better over the years. The Galaxy Tab S3 is another one of these cases. While Samsung generally produces really nice hardware, the software on their devices is an absolute disgrace. I’ve been owning a Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 for a while now.
